Taylor Casey

apprentice stylist
ABOUT  //   Taylor attended the Aveda Institute Minneapolis for both Esthiology and Cosmetology, graduating in 2016. Originally from Chaska, Minnesota, Taylor moved to Bozeman in July of 2017. With both of her older brothers living in Bozeman, Taylor has gained a love and enthusiasm for the great outdoors comparable to her passion for hair. Taylor decided she wanted to be a hairstylis at the age of four, when she cut her own hair behind the bathroom door. For her ninth birthday party, Taylor requested to go to the Aveda Institute Minneapolis. After having her and her friends’ hair and makeup done, Taylor turned to her mom and said, “This is what I’m going to do with my life.” After working for two years in Victoria, Minnesota, Taylor decided it was time to put her body, mind, and spirit to hard work in the mountains and Theory. Her enthusiasm is contagious as she pursues her goals here at Theory Hair Salon.
STYLING PHILOSOPHY  //   Because of her love of high fashion and tall mountains, Taylor has two very distinct styling philosophies. She loves to help her clients receive sleek and classic looks, hinting at old school Dior, but also likes to add a touch of new glamour. On the other hand Taylor believes that natural beauty is something to be enhanced and not covered up. Taylor believes all people are beautiful and thoroughly enjoys making people feel that way.
PERSONAL STYLE  //   Taylor describes her style as very versatile. She can be seen with her hair blown out and curled with her makeup done, or with minimal makeup to compliment her natural curls. She pulls style inspiration from the vast beauty around, while adding her own spunk.
CONTINUING EDUCATION  //   Taylor was asked to work behind stage at Aveda Congress in the Fall of 2015. There, Taylor worked alongside Antoinette Beenders, Ricardo Dinis, Janell Geason, and many others closely assisting and gaining substantial knowledge from the creative directors of Aveda. Following in their footsteps Taylor has taken advanced hair coloring and styling classes with Wella, Kenra Professional, Moroccan Oil, Christophe Robin and EasiHair Pro. She continues to pursue her passion and knowledge excitedly as she begins her career with Theory.
